Welcome to QSC
The Quassapaug Sailing Center, a non-profit educational institution, offers sailing lessons under the watchful eyes of certified instructors; hosts Snipe Fleet 231 racing; and opportunities for open water swimming.
QSC is located on beautiful Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury, Connecticut. Lake Quassapaug is a mountaintop, spring-fed lake with a motorboat speed limitation of 5 mph. The lake's unique characteristics and notoriously shifty winds make it an idea location for sail training.
Our sailing programs develop competent sailors that can use their developing "lifetime" skills for small boat racing, pleasure, or large boat sailing in coastal waters.
We have recently made improvements to the Sailing School curriculum due to its growing enrollment.
